Japanese food is popular in Canada but…Sukiyaki is different.
Japanese food is popular in Canada now and there are good ones such as Sashimi and eels but Sukiyaki seems to be a bit different from the Japanese one. Dave was amazed by the Sukiyaki he had when he was 21 and ever since then he's been dreaming of eating the real one.Narita International Airport

What is "Asakusa Imahan" opened in 1895?
Dave's choice of the restaurant is the "Asakusa Imahan" Kokusaidori Honten, a high-end long-established restaurant in Japan. It opened in 1895 specializing in Sukiyaki and Shabu-Shabu with Kuroge-Wagyu.
First foreigner to celebrate birthday at "Asakusa Imahan"?! A birthday party by a foreigner.
Dave is ushered to a Japanese private room with mature atmosphere and unable to hide his nervousness. The waitress speaks English well and tells him that he may be the first foreigner to cerebrate birthday at "Asakusa Imahan".
12,000 yen marbled Kobe Beef!
I just want Sukiyaki, Dave orders the Kobe Beef Sukiyaki with vegetables for 12,000 yen!!!! And this is the Kobe Beef Sukiyaki. Kobe Beef is one of the best wagyu and it's so beautifully marbled that he can't help but sigh blissfully.
Can't take his eyes off the cooking done in front of him.
At "Asakusa Imahan" Kokusaidori Honten the waitress cooks very nicely in front of Dave. He adjusts his posture and stares at the beef being cooked looking all excited.
Perfectly cocked! Excitement at its peak!
The color of the marbled beef changes from red to appetizing light pink. Dave's dream is coming to fruition after 10 years, he's all excited!!
Inside my stomach too, it's good.
Finally!!! It seems that it's common in all countries that you enjoy the taste slowly with your eyes closed. "Inside my stomach too, it's good." Dave takes every bite very carefully and enjoys his very happy birthday.Asakusa Imahan, Kokusaidori Honten
