    The world traveler Cyrus visits Japan for the first time. He has no plans, just wants to experience the hot springs in Japan. He's a hot spring maniac who have been to 100 hot springs in about 40 countries.

    Day 3 of the hitchhiking hot spring spotting trip.
    The staff at the hot spring kindly gives Cyrus cardboard boxes and even helps making the sign board for him. What a Cyrus power… The destination written on the board is "West", isn't it a little bit too rough?

    Using the board Cyrus starts hitchhiking. After 3 hours of waiting, a Japan based Peruvian stops and gives him a ride. He was so kind that he even gave Cyrus his own bicycle. Then they decide to stop by his house.

    The bicycle has gotten flat tires but no problems with riding. Cyrus purchases the tools for fixing them and he's so good at it! He's done the work so very quickly.

    The driver who kindly gave Cyrus a bicycle takes him to a spot where they can see Mt. Fuji with a reflection of the setting sun. It is as if they know each other for a while, reaching out to each other saying good bye.

    Day 4 of the hitchhiking hot spring spotting trip.
    Named as "Granny's bicycle hitchhiking", it is an operation to move forward by the bicycle Cyrus received yesterday and hitchhike at the same time! Of course the standard sized car won't fit both him and the bicycle, he'll have to look for a larger sized car such as trucks which is going to be even more difficult...

    The operation is over after 3 hours of waiting with no success. The next operation is to wait at a gas station and ask around the customers there. Then Cyrus immediately finds someone who can carry both him and the bicycle! He continues hitchhiking and arrives at Kanzanji hot spring in Shizuoka prefecture.

    Cyrus spreads up with the crew promising to meet again in Kyushu and travels another 8 days to arrive in Osaka. But his response to our call is "I'm flying to America". "I just decided to quit", is the response asking the details at Haneda Airport. "Why is it that you stick with hitchhiking?" "Because of many unexpected encounters which will help me understand the country better" "Japanese people are sweet and kind, the country of hospitality", he seems to have felt his first Japan for himself.
