500km walking trip to come to an end!

Eva teaches dancing at a college in Austria and it is her sixth time to visit Japan. She'll spend 4 weeks walking from Kyoto to Tokyo this time following the same route as her favorite Ukiyo-e "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido", and the total distance is going to be about 500km!
Her trip is coming to an end.

An amazing view of Satta-toge pass which is known as one of the three most difficult parts of the Tokaido.

The total distance Eva has walked is now 334km! Only 166km more left to Nihonbashi. The next destination is Yui station with Mt. Fuji printed in the Ukiyo-e. The last time Eva visited to see Mt. Fuji it was raining and she couldn't see it. She's desperate to see it but this time she'll need to go over the Satta-toge pass which is known as one of the three most difficult parts of the Tokaido.

Mt. Fuji is too shy to show its face?

Mt. Fuji still can be viewed as how it's printed in the Ukiyo-e but it's hidden in the clouds… Eva waits a while but decides to start moving again hoping to see it at some point on the way to Hakone. What a shame!

A playful mind hidden in Hiroshige's print.

The Kanbara station printed in Ukiyo-e is covered with snow, but according to the local people it rarely snows in the area. They think that it may be Kanbara in Nigata, the area of heavy snowfall (there are various theories). Eva is excited with Hiroshige's playful mind hidden in the print.

The building registered as a tangible cultural property was built in Edo era.

Eva was unable to visit the spot where it was printed in the Ukiyo-e but she has found an old building while walking Kanbara town. The "Shida-tei" is registered as a tangible cultural property and it was used to make soy sauce back in the Edo period.

Mt. Fuji to uncover its face!

Eva finishes the tour of "Shida-tei" and starts walking again, and there it is, Mt. Fuji showing off its beautiful surface! Because she doesn't want to miss this opportunity she decides to wait a while until it uncovers the whole body. "Mt. Fuji is stately, just like god.", Eva seems to be touched being able to see her favorite mountain.
